Cal.com connects your Cal.com account so the Book with Cal.com tool can check open times and create meetings during a conversation. The API key is the private access code Cal.com gives you for this connection.

Prerequisites

  • A Cal.com account
  • An API key from the Cal.com developer or settings area
  • Permission to add integrations on the project

Connect

Open Add Integration

In the project sidebar, select Integrations, then Add Integration. Select Connect on the Cal.com card.

Paste your API key

On Cal.com API Key, enter API Key. Keep this secret.

Wait for validation

The wizard authenticates with Cal.com. When it succeeds, you see Cal.com Connected!

Verify

On Integrations, the row shows Connected.
Enable Book with Cal.com on a test agent and confirm it can offer times that match your Cal.com event types.

Use it

Enable Book with Cal.com on chat AI Configuration or a workflow Tools tab. Select this Cal.com connection.

Limits

  • Rotating the API key in Cal.com without updating Integrations stops booking.
  • Availability, time zones, and event length come from Cal.com, not from Botcadence defaults.

Troubleshooting

Generate a new key in Cal.com and paste it again. Confirm you copied the full key.
Enable Book with Cal.com and select this integration. Confirm event types are published in Cal.com.
