Voice Calling Quickstart
Step 1: Organization and numbers
- Open Organization setup and confirm voice telephony is available for your org.
- Add or connect phone numbers under organization phone settings (or use WhatsApp calling via the WhatsApp hub when you need WhatsApp voice).
Phone inbound uses organization telephony numbers. WhatsApp call inbounds need a connected WhatsApp Business account with calling ready.
Step 2: Create a project
- Create a project (same as chat) from Projects → New Project.
- You do not pick a separate “voice-only” project type — the same project hosts chat and voice.
Step 3: Build a voice workflow
- Under Build → Workflows, create an active voice workflow (prompt, tools, routing).
- Preview TTS voices in Build → Voice Lab if you need to pick or test a voice.
- Optionally add documents under Build → Knowledge Base.
Step 4: Choose inbound or outbound
Option A: Inbound calls
- Open Deploy → Inbounds.
- Create an inbound (Phone call or WhatsApp call).
- Name it, select your published voice workflow, and assign receiving numbers.
- Set call duration, timezone, and recording options as needed, then create.
Your inbound line is ready. Callers who dial those numbers reach your voice workflow.
Option B: Outbound campaigns
- Build a contact list under Outreach → Lists.
- Open Outreach → Campaigns and create a campaign.
- Select the list, voice workflow, and call settings, then launch.
Your outbound campaign can dial contacts from the selected list.
