Verify email (OTP) sends a one-time code to an email address and checks the code the customer returns. OTP simply means “one-time password.” You do not pick a project Gmail or Mailgun connection for this tool. The platform sends the code.

Open Tools

Open the workflow, select an Agent, Supervisor, or Task, then open Tools.

Turn it on

Under Verification, enable Verify email (OTP). There is no extra configure dialog.
In a test, provide an inbox you control, request a code, and complete verification.
This confirms ownership of an address. It does not open the Email channel inbox. For outbound follow-ups, use Send email or Send with Mailgun.
