A Task Group is a sequence of intake steps on one canvas node. Use it when you always collect the same series of details (name, then email, then phone) without a separate task node for each.

Add it

Right-click empty canvas → Add Node → Task Group. Connect it from a Supervisor or Agent.

General

  • Group Name — Shown on the canvas (for example, User Intake).
  • Intake Steps Sequence — Select Add Step for each field you need.
Each step has:
  • Task Name
  • Instructions / Prompt
  • Expected Output Variable — Output Key and Output Type (String / Text, Number / Numeric, or Boolean (Yes/No))
  • Tools — Optional tools for that step only
Open a step with the settings control on the card. Delete a step you no longer need. Empty groups show a prompt to add the first step.
Keep one output key per step and name keys so later prompts can refer to them clearly.

Tools on the group

The group node itself has a Tools tab for tools that apply across the sequence. Prefer enabling tools on the step that actually needs them.

Verify

The group has a name, at least one step with prompt and output, and paths in and out of the group.
