WhatsApp

Botcadence’s WhatsApp hub connects one WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) per project via Meta Embedded Signup. You can manage phone numbers, templates, catalog, opt-outs, calling, and campaigns from the project sidebar.
Each project supports a single WhatsApp channel (one WABA). Multiple Cloud API phone numbers can belong to that same WABA.

Connect

  1. Open WhatsApp in the project sidebar.
  2. On Overview, start Meta Embedded Signup.
  3. Choose standard Cloud API setup, coexistence (Business app number), or migration when available.
  4. Finish phone registration until status is CONNECTED.
  5. Add a payment method in Meta Business Manager so template and conversation messages can send.
  6. Enable the WhatsApp AI Agent under Channels when you want automated replies.

Hub tabs

Templates and broadcasts

  • Create or sync approved templates in the WhatsApp hub.
  • Use Campaigns to broadcast templates to contact lists (bulk).
  • Template variables must be mapped before launch.

Inbox and the 24-hour window

WhatsApp allows free-form agent replies only within 24 hours of the customer’s last message.
  • While the window is open, agents reply normally in Conversations.
  • When the window is closed, free-form reply is blocked. Agents can Send a template from the conversation to continue (or wait for the customer to message again).
  • Customers who reply STOP are opted out; manage them under Opt-outs.

Calling

WhatsApp Calling requires a CONNECTED Cloud API number with a messaging limit of 2,000+ unique recipients and a supported country. Enable calling per number on the Numbers tab after registration is complete. Create a Utility or Marketing template with Request call permission to ask customers for permission before placing a business-initiated WhatsApp call. Call permission request templates cannot include other buttons.

Catalog

Use the Catalog tab to sync Shopify products into Meta for product list / multi-product message templates.
