# Business Profile

> Edit the WhatsApp business profile customers see for your numbers

**Business Profile** edits the public WhatsApp profile for a Cloud API number: about text, contact details, category, and photo.

Open **WhatsApp** in the project sidebar, then select **Business Profile**.

## Prerequisites

* WhatsApp connected on [Overview](/docs/outreach/whatsapp)
* At least one phone number on [Numbers](/docs/outreach/whatsapp/numbers)

Until connected, this tab shows **Business profile unavailable**.

## Edit the profile

  <Step title="Open Business Profile">
    Under **Outreach**, select **WhatsApp**, then **Business Profile**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick the number">
    If you have more than one number, choose **Profile for number**. Changing this profile does not change the default sender on Numbers.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Update fields">
    Set **About**, **Email**, **Description**, **Address**, **Website**, and **Category**. Click the avatar to upload a **JPEG or PNG** photo. The verified name from Meta is read-only.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save">
    Select **Save profile**.
  </Step>

  The profile fields refresh with the values you saved for that number.

## Limits

| About       | 139 characters |
| Address     | 256 characters |
| Description | 512 characters |

Category options include Retail, Professional services, Health, and similar Meta categories, plus Other and Not a business.
