# Catalog

> Create a catalog channel for media, locations, and a shoppable catalog experience

Catalog is a commerce-style channel. You create it on **Channels**, then configure modules, cities, media, call-to-action fields, and appearance in channel settings.

## Prerequisites

* Permission to create channels
* Images or media you want to show (optional at create time)

## Connect

    In the project sidebar, select **Channels**.

  <Step title="Create Catalog">
    Select **Catalog**. Enter **Channel Name** and **Catalog Channel Key** (identifier, for example `catalog-main`). Create the channel.

    Open the channel. Use the **Catalog** tab to add modules, cities, voice options, CTA fields, and appearance. Save when you finish.

  The Channels list shows Catalog. Visitors who use the catalog experience see the items you saved.

## Use it

In **Catalog** setup you work in sections such as **modules**, **cities**, **voice**, **cta**, and **appearance**. Add media, map cities to locations, and turn on the fields customers should fill (text, email, phone, and similar).

General settings still include **Channel Name**. **Channel Identifier** does not change after create.

Link a chat workflow in Chat Settings if the catalog flow needs the agent to talk after a listing.

## Limits

* Identifier is fixed after create.
* Large media uploads must finish before you leave the page; save after items are uploaded.

## Troubleshooting

    Finish pending media uploads. Select an active chat workflow if the product asks for one before save.
